The Sukhothai is unusual for many reasons but principally for its location: in the middle of a six-acre estate of scenic gardens in the diplomatic and business heart of Bangkok. In this oasis of calm, the hotel is reminiscent of Siam's regal past. Most of the rooms and suites overlook an inner courtyard of gardens and ponds. The bathrooms, with floors of teak, are of such size as to put many an hotel bedroom to shame. The hospitality, service and comfort are steeped in graceful tradition. As a guest, be it on business or for pleasure, the modern facilities are superb. Four restaurants await your pleasure: Celadon, set amongst lotus ponds, serves authentic Thai food; the poolside Terrazzo offers Italian fare; Colonnade is famous for its Sunday jazz brunch and, in Noppamas, you will find no finer French cuisine in Asia.
